Capt. Dave Saddler - Islamorada

There are plenty of Bonefish on the oceanside flats of Tavernier and Islamorada. Most fish are 5-8lbs and weary of anglers. Bonefish Sliders, Kwans, Merkins and Imitator Shrimp will all take fish if properly presented. Lots of Permit are available on the channel edges and nearby flats. Tarpon are lazily sliding by and eating well in 18" to 3ft of water. This is a good time of year to fish a 9-10 weight with a Merkin to feed all three species. After you're done with the daytime fun, there are Tarpon busting Mullet on the bridges at night.
